Damien Hearse: Art’s Final Ride

Day 1 of the install was exactly what you’d expect when rolling a hearse through LA during art week—confusion, admiration, and a few concerned looks.

A hearse. A bunch of spots. A simple idea with an obvious message: the art world loves repetition, and if you slap enough of it on something, people will call it genius.

Drove past Frieze, Felix, and the usual art scene suspects. Some people took photos, some whispered, “Is this part of the fair?” A collector wanted to buy it.
